This is my mom with her big ol dog {such a little fellow at that} Palamino. Baby moon the little goat was a gift to her from me for her birthday. Mr. Bug runs the house. this is a short story of when Moon attacks bug. LOL!

 

I took my girl to the vet on Saturday he said she had an upper respiratory infection
( bronchitis) he gave her a shot in the butt two bottles of pills and sent her home.

On Sunday April 29, 2007 my friend and companion was run over as she was
laying under the truck of her owner Betty.
Betty's husband was taking the truck to work on and we were headed to my car next
door to go shopping. I guess she was just too tired to move
so when he pulled off she went under the tire.
I am not certain but I think it crushed her insides. She died within minutes.
I miss her so much it hurts. She was my buddy. She walked me home from my bus
after helping me check it out to make sure no kiddos slept on.
But mostly she looked for treats left by the students she would patiently wait for me
to do my paper work and then walk me home every time. I always had treats for her
I kept something on the bus to give her like dog bones or bread or buns she loved
food. It has been very hard to drive up and not find her waiting.

By Monday afternoon my Madusa refused to eat anything or drink anything. I poked
her pills down her throat and went to wash my hands.
As I was coming back out of the kitchen she was coughing.
She coughed up blood. It was basically down hill from there

I called the vet Tuesday and changed to injections...The trip to the vet was way to
upsetting for her, so me and my sister Margarett gave her the injections twice a day.
Friday as I was getting ready to go to work on the bus she came and set by me
I think I knew then that she would not make it cause she basically said good by to me
the only way she could. The last time I saw her alive was that afternoon. She died
May 4, 2007 at around 3:30 PM while I was on my bus.
When I got home she was laying on a sheet by my chair. I buried her that evening
out back in the Pet cemetery.

I can't explain just how hard this has been the past two weeks.
I wasn't allowed the time needed to grieve the passing of Shadow
I was in the worst battle of life and death I ever fought to this date
and In the end the battle was lost.
